Program Description
Think Day consists of optional modules that extend the effectiveness of our core Motivational Experience, Think Fast. The other modules can be added to Think Fast as best suits your needs and scheduling. Our aim is to partner with you and work with your specific needs and situation, and we will tailor these services to suit what is best for your school.

Think Fast
The foundation of each Think Day is our one hour, high energy motivational experience that has changed lives all across Canada. At first glance, the large sound system, the light show, live performing artists or the crowd participation could seem to set this show apart. However, over 600,000 youth have confirmed that the distinguishing factor is the power of personal story. The students meet Think Day team members who are close to their own age and have dealt with the same issues they are going through. The people on stage talking are real; they share about their strengths, their weaknesses, and about the reasons why they have chosen to make a difference. By embedding each topic with a message of purpose, our presentation will inspire your students to live with passion and make a difference in the world around them.
Think Global
Global issues are all around us, and sometimes they can seem overwhelming. For many students, the only way to deal with it is to disconnect. Think Global presents current issues in ways that are relevant to today’s generation. The presentation provides practical ways that the students can get involved globally and locally. The result leaves the student not only enthusiastic about being involved, but they also leave with a different perspective on their own life. Think Global is often used as a second assembly, or a voluntary session over the lunch hour, however this session can be used in many other ways (as another assembly, for social studies or leadership classes, etc). This session is particularly valuable as a catalyst to start a social justice club or school humanitarian travel group.
Think Through It
Media can be used in many ways, and one thing that can’t be argued is its effectiveness in reaching this generation. MakeYouThink® has developed cutting edge videos that introduce core topics to students. In workshops, students are able to openly discuss issues and challenges they face after viewing MakeYouThink® videos. Led by our trained team members, the workshop materials dig into those topics that matter most to today’s students. Think Through It is a flexible workshop format that can be rearranged depending on your schedule. We can run up to two simultaneous workshops and a typical workshop is about 45 minutes. Alternately, you can choose to do the workshops yourself using our “leave behind” lesson plans and DVD. Check out the trailers for this years character education values here
Think Big
This concert event is always a huge hit with the students. Think Big is based around our live band and serves as a great conclusion and reinforcement to your Think Day, and is an opportunity to get parents and community members involved. The quality of bands that tour with us is quite extraordinary. Whether you host the event in the school, or in another venue, this event includes motivational content that will help reinforce the values discussed throughout the Think Day.
Think Again
While the impact that a Think Day can have is overwhelming, proper follow up is essential. In addition to our lesson plans and DVDs, Think Again offers your school the opportunity to host a key note speaker 2 to 12 months after your Think Day. About Think Day
Absolute Leadership Development is a charity that was founded in 2000 with the vision of partnering with schools to empower students to live with purpose and to change their world. Since that time Absolute’s “Motivational Experience” has become the most popular school assembly in public, Catholic, and independent middle and secondary schools - as evidenced by the multitude of testimonials on this website. Absolute has been booked as a keynote presentation at Canada’s premier student leadership event (the Canadian Student Leadership Conference) for 4 years in a row (and is already pre-booked for 2 years more), due to its relevant approach and effectiveness in reaching students where they are at. In keeping with our desire to provide all schools with top-notch motivational opportunities, Absolute has given every school, regardless of size or budget, the same caliber and magnitude of presentation as a major student leadership conference.
Students have always had a profound and emotional response to our 1 hr presentation, and although this is very good, Absolute has always desired to go “beyond motivation” and ensure that a motivational experience would have lasting results. In 2003 we started an online student help service, where students can chat with a trained volunteer and receive help. In 2005 we had our first of many Hero Holiday student humanitarian relief trips, giving students a tangible hands-on opportunity to make the difference that we had been always been talking about in our presentations.
Starting September 2008, Absolute is taking another major step forward with the launch of Think Day. Think Day takes our successful format for a school-wide motivational assembly, adding new content by combining it with the best character education media resources available (MakeYouThink®), then offers optional workshops (self-directed lesson plans) around this character education curriculum, and other modules such as a Global Awareness session, community concert, and follow up keynote speakers.
