We were very privileged to have Kristen Parsons, Miss Canada Scholarship 2006, join us for our last week of tour in Manitoba! Miss Canada Scholarship is a competition run by Canada Pageants. Honestly we were a little skeptical when we first approached by Canada Pageants last year, because we thought that having a “Beauty Queen” might be contrary to our message on inner-value. However, we sooned learned that this was much different that a typical beauty contest. Emphasizing intelligence, style, personality, and culture, Canada Pageants Corporation seeks to promote today’s women and her commitment to community, family, career and education. Once we discovered that their values were in harmony with our values, we were happy to work with them.
Kristen Parsons is from Wabush, Labrador, and she is the second Miss Canada Scholarship to tour with us (last year we had the 2005 winner, Megan Punett, join us). Kristen’s platform as Miss Canada Scholarship is about School Bullying Prevention, so she was a perfect fit for Absolute! We greatly appreciated having Kirsten join our road team and her message was a nice addition to our presentation. So a big thanks to Kristen and Canada Pageants!
